Important information to competitors   All competitors need to go to Gate 6 of Smith St and go straight to the Freestyle BMX Aust desk to sign in and pick up your passes.   If you are not competing, you can not bring your bike into the grounds.   Practise groups will be made up of 10 riders and will get a 30min practice on the ramp. Groups will be made up of mixed riders and placed in groups as of the time they register on the day. Riders who arrive after 1130am will not receive the 30min group practise and only be able to have 5 min's of practise before their heat start. This will no doubt open mean doors for comps in Australia, placing them more in the publics eye with better venues and locations.. Say tuned for a Freestyle BMX comp near you.   20-March-'08   Events:  You may have heard reports of a brand new concept of hosting the first Snow Boarding style half pipe for BMX. Well Red Bull have released the dates and the location 24th- 25th at Mt Beauty in Victoria. For those how know nothing about this, picture this a 120m long half pipe, with dirt hips, wood wall riders and sub rails and now dig it into a nice green paddock on the side of a hill and there you go. It's invite only so if you haven't received an invitation and you think you have what it takes to give this puppy a go.. email us at freestyle BMX Australia           15-March-'08   News:   Newton's Play ground was a complete success with over 40 riders competing and let's say enjoying the festival atmosphere. Cameron Pianta took out the tittle with narrowly betting Dane Searls who scoredand with the young up and comer Jaie Toohey got the last seat on the podium with 3rd. Talks are underway to make this event a bigger and better in 2009.. That's for all of these companies for supporting the first national survey of Freestyle BMX.  25-Feb-'08 Events:    Newton's Playground will be on from the 7th to the 9th of March in Bathurst NSW, It's a festival with a difference.. Playing host to over 10 different forms of alternative sports one of them being BMX dirt jumping.
